Thread: pulling OBD1 codes....

I even just nows tried the reset, code pulling.......no go.led just strays on, no blinking anything, fans come on as soon as key is turned

I even switched chips I have, no go.....fans on,...cel still on...the 2 step on the chips didn't even activate at 3700....I'm sooooooooooo confused how something, just happens

I have now noticed the ecu had been directly regrounded to the manifold (spliced)as welll as the knock sensor.

But allot of wires seem patched or re did....
Nothing looks burnt at allll in the ecu.......




I'm going to checks this in a min.....

talk to phatsx, he had the same problem with his, don't know how he got around it though...

so i jusy got a 93 nx2000 5spd ecu from the junkyard....hopfully this ecu is ok and will pull codes?

sorta,you gotta reset it then drive the car around to register the codes forst..but yeah.
I guess your VE will run a little rich with the de ECU??

it wouldnt reset.i woulndt get any response from the ecu screw.nothing would happen when i turn it...just stayed on

dude the ecu was bad....had to be...im using this to account for it being bad.

but as soon as i put in my 93 nx 5sp 167k mile de ecu....turned the key on NO FANS!!!!!!!!!!! heard the fuel pump go and NO CEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
