Thread: ebay exhaust mani's any good?

I like the stock look of my jdm tubular exhaust manifold. I just need a bigger downpipe. So, I can put a resonator/muffler on it for a side exhaust, just like tokes did. Except a smaller diameter for a sr20de. I found a couple of these ebay exhaust combos, but they are ebay combos. Like " top speed pro-1 ", seen some good reviews on the 350z/g35 forums. Or the " eb stores racing ",or " tuning pros ". They all look the same, but price varies. Who makes a good down pipe? Have I not found THE exhaust thread? Some one should make it.

Depending on you setup they came in two different size secondary.

The 2.5 is the newest and largest they offer.

Good luck trying to find just the downpipe though, who knows.

I just want the down pipe.

It's very difficult to just find the downpipe. But I ordered my SSAC on ebay for 125 shipped and it has the 2.5" secondary. For that price just order the whole setup and sell the primary.

I've roamed the forums for a while and I hear " SSAC " all the time. Is this a brand? or an acronym for something?

because if I do some research they all look like 3rd party chinese/ebay brand stuff.



No specs given, but a wild guess tells me it's 2" inlet and 2.5" outlet.

They are all the same. SSAC style headers. Just confirm that it's a 2.5" DP and buy the one that costs the least shipped.

SSAC stands for SS AutoChrome. They originally ripped off (Stillen?) and sold it on eBay and got banned, I believe. And then everybody started selling rip offs of their rip off. SSAC is a term applied generically to any exhaust manifold of that style sold on eBay. All the ones you posted would be termed "SSAC" headers.

^^^^ Yes this is true except they ripped off the design from Hotshot which is now out of business. Unless your header says SSAC or XSPower it was made in China. Doesn't really matter. It's the same design. It just sucks that an awesome supporter of the SR20DE was destroyed because someone copied their design. The primaries and the secondaries are bigger than the original SSAC design which seems to be beneficial.

^^and make sure u ask the seller what size it is. they all look the same visually.
