Yes, that's exactly how mine is. The tube test holds up, here's my motor just off the pallet, I doubt Dave would have bothered to call it 10:1 if it wasn't, and the head code holds up too, not that it's a big deal to me - like you said, tubular mani stock wasn't that bad, that looks like where a good part of that hp bump came from compared to the USDM stock mani:

Motor was super clean, not cleaned at all prior to those pics - right out of the donor. Looks like it was hooked up to an AT maybe, not a trace of clutch dust here:
The intake side of the motor really show little old lady owner, the area where the fuel spray hits is usually cleaned by the detergents in the gas, if you ever see WOT, all this motor ever saw was a spittle's worth of throttle. Somewhere I have those pics, internals.
