89mm head gasket
I just got my engine back from the machine shop and dropped it in. I'm looking for an 89mm head gasket , and REALLY want one made by Cosworth, but I can't find any. The biggest they make for the SR20 is the 87mm as far as I can tell.

I could just go with Cometic, but seeing the thread that compares it to Cosworth, I really don't want to. Any suggestions?

i believe cosworth makes a 90mm headgasket, you might contact the seller and also contact cosworth themselves, it might take a bit longer to get it but they might know a supplier in the states that has one in stock. There was a whole big thread about their 90mm headgasket being finished, so you might want to just call them, i know its not on their site but give them a ring.

The only other suggestion is a mazworx headgasket, about twice as much but a very very nice piece. That is what im using on the 2.2L 90mm de/ve hybrid build. and if your worried about the 90mm vs 89mm dont, you can easily use the 90mm gasket on the 89mm bore,

I used an 87mm headgasket on an 86mm bore and it worked just fine, and under heavy boost. so yeah just get the 90 if you cant find an 89mm

Awesome thanks for the input, guys.
Kleensleeper - is that thing new in the packaging? How much do you want for it shipped to the US zip code 55068?

Thanks

It's brand new.I bought it to do a spare 90mm DET build but decided to put my efforts into my VE-T build.

Oh jeez that's a fricken sweet deal. A guy gave me a sweet deal on NDA shipping though so I jumped on that earlier today. :\ Thanks for putting it out there for me though!
