pulled the interior ac box
Hey guys, I just got done yanking out my interior ac box, and found out that it's between the fan motor and the rest of the system. Seems stupid to me, but is there a piece out there that connects the two back together, maybe one from cars that didn't get a/c? I really don't want to put that crap back in there! I searched around some but didn't find a good answer... I'm open to links or whatever.

Yah, I had to put the big thing back in. I thought the same thing. There must be a non-AC connector piece out there. Didn't bother me too much to put it in, and I ran wires through it to the engine bay so it served a purpose.

I did the same, i pulled the exchanger out, caulked the holes and put it back in.

I'm not worried about the holes, I'm worried about connecting up the fan to the ducting, the rest will serve to carry wires and such, so that's not the problem... maybe Greg knows...

You gut out the exchanger then put the black box back in.

Thats what we are talking about. Put the box back in but caulk the holes so it does not leak.

To seal the wholes in the firewall i layed the grommet on some wax paper and filled them with clear silicone. After it dried i just put it back in.

interesting idea. if you are talking about the ones for the a/c lines, i welded mine up with sheetmetal plugs i cut out. i might steal your idea to plug the drain holes in the black box though. if you were talking about the black box....just ignore my post
