i think i would stay away from anything that highschool kids had, have had or going to have, as they beat the hell out of the cars for fun, when drifting is really a sport and should be treated as such.

if you really think of it, with modding cars you are modding the engine to go up against the opponent, with drifting, the mods on the car are really going up against you as you are the driving and if the suspension, wheels, motor arent paired up to work all together you arent going to get very far..

with that being said most kids nowdays dont know the first thing about modding a engine to start with, let alone modding the overall car to behave as you wish which takes even more knowledge and skill.

There are nice S13s still out there if you take your time and look around. We picked up our project car in June for $2000. Its a west coast car, spent its first 10 years in AZ and CA, and then 2 years in Oregon before the last owner drove it here in April.

MY next whip is going to be a 240sx. There is nothing wrong with the drift scene its just another form of motorsports and i like them all except for nascar. Something about driving around in a circle thats not that exciting to me I dont care what speed there going.

have you ever worked on a 240 it's wayyy easier
all you have to do to change the clutch is pull the driveshaft and drop the tranny
it's like an 2 hour job total

on a fwd i have to take off both wheels, take off the axles, then try and manuever the tranny out lol

and changing all the accesories is wayy easier because they are all up front and arent against the wheel well

you sir work way to hard i can change a tranny out in a hour in a half by myself... and you dont have to pull both tires out just the driver side

Ralleye Racers eventually retire, drained of adrenaline, or end up like Sunny Bono. That kind of driving is a rush!

i dont think most people who are into drifting actually have the suspension or motor to support real drifting

it must be a rush to be the co-pilot in a fast ralley car.. more so than the driver considering there's no control from the passenger side

i think drifitng is beyond pointless. all these little douche bags floor the gass and spin out of control in a parking lot and call it drifitng....................****in gay.

my friend ben does amature drifing events. he owns a 91 FC rx7, and he in no way takes chances with the car. he will not compete if the event is in a tight lot were he may hit something. his real passion is rallieing his 89 mazda 323 GTX..........the drifing events allow him to fine tune his cornering ability in rallie events.
