Newbie in need of help!
Well I just picked up my first car yesterday. A 1998 200sx SE-R. Only 89,000
miles. I'm planning on doing a tune up and I got everything that I need. But
I was wondering could someone explain how to change the distributor rotor
and cap ? And I got NGK G-Power Platinum Spark plugs because I ran out of
money. Will these do for daily driving ? Thanks in advance.

i think its just 2 screws that hold the cap on and a 10mm blot that holds on the rotor, just make sure u dont take off the wires and dont know how to put them back on

Easy does it, just unscrew the two bolts, take off the cap, remove rotor and your basically set. Becareful not to touch the dizzy, I've heard of some shock stories...

Well I bought everything but my wires I had to order because they weren't in stock. Could
I install my new cap and rotor and spark plugs now and still use the old wire. Or should I
just wait for the wires to come in. Thanks

You should be fine to use the old wires, and as far as the rotor goes, it can be pretty darn stuck on there so it might help to wrap the end of a screwdriver with a cloth so as not to damage anything and use that to make leverage on the rotor and it should pop off fairly easily.

I just finished replacing the spark plugs, wires, distributor rotor/cap and I can really tell a
difference ! So much smoother and overall feels much stronger. But I did notice it idles at
900 now. Anyway to lower it down a little ? All I need to do now is a radiator flush. Any
tips on how to do that? Thanks !

Well you can start by resetting the ECU. Unplug the negative battery terminal for at least 30 minutes, overnight is the best.

Then if that doesn't help, you can adjust the idle.

Hit us up on how to do that, if you get to that level.

Well after I did the tune-up I did an oil change and had the negative terminal unplugged since I unplugged it while changing the rotor. It was unplugged for maybe a good hour. So can I just turn the idle adjust screw a little to make it go down. Which way do you turn it to make it go down clockwise or
counter-clockwise ?
