I've always run stock wires on all my Nissans, mostly because any time I've gone to something else I've eventually had issues (e.g. Bosch wires on my KA24DE, wire went bad at the plug boot).

I can tell you from experience, although I have no dyno to prove it. I bought some ultra wires from Miko a couple of years ago and immediately felt a difference from my new OEM wires. I was able to gap the plugs a little more before getting missfire also. A year down the road I replaced the ultras with the Taylor 10mm wires when the group buy took place. After putting the Taylors on, I had to lower the gap on my plugs and even still, they felt worse.

According to Miko, Ultra wires are by far the best wires you can purchase for your SR20 powerplant. They exceed even OEM/NGK wires in almost all ways. I don't think he even runs anything else.

I believe he was fortunate enough to receive a motor or two with Ultra wires installed, and IIRC that's how he found out about them.

I have been running Ultra wires from back in the mid 90s. As stated in this thread I used to get them from a company called BRM who got them from the USA distributor which happened to be a company who delt with rotary motors, I think it was Racing Beat.

Now as far as getting them now, they come on alot of used motors from Japan so I keep them when I get them.

Bosch and NGK wire are crap as the fall apart inside the sparg plug hole. You try to pul them out and they leave something down in the hole so you got to get pliers to pul the crap out.

Stock wires or Ultra Power Wire for the win.
