Thread: Ideas on Forum Features/Rules

Seeing as how the old forum is raping a lot of us right now. I thought maybe it would be a good idea to get some basic ideas down on how we would like this new forum to work out.

Here are my thoughts.

1.)Advertising ok, as long as its not intrusive. Old forum before the buyout worked fine with me. Ads on top were not too intrusive.

2.) Option to completely wipe out your account, from the database.

3.) Edit button stays no matter what.

4.) I think being notified 2 weeks ahead of time for drastic change would be appropriate.

5.) No Political arguing. A lot of political threads ended up in heated e fights over there. I know because I participated in several of those threads. LOL

6.) A buyer rating system would be beneficial

7.) NO street racing threads

All you other guys please add to this.

I think simply replicating the rules and ideals from the previous forum would work well...

Once settled in I suggest a waiting period before new users can post unless they have credentials from the old site prior to this month/week as to help us from getting what the crowd we don't want.

Additionally, this will help new user's use the search function and contact the vendors to help the forum gain more revenue without intruding on us with questions that can be answered in one search or a getting started area.
