Draining old fuel
I have a nx200 that has been sitting for over 4 yrs .
I am swapping in a new motor, and want to get all the stale gas out of the tank and fuel system.
Here what I was thinking....
-Drain the tank....not sure whats the best way to do this, maybe unhook the lines under the car below the tank.
-put a few gallons of fuel in,and remove the fuel line after the fuel filter.
-hook a 12v car battery directly to the fuel pump, and pump fresh fuel through the system.
The only thing I am not sure about is the fuel rail and injectors. Can I just pull off the fuel rail and pump gas all the way through them too?
Any advice you guys may have would be greatly appreciated.
