Thread: Gas Gauge doesn't go down

Soooo... my gas gauge went mad too.... i changed clusters and swapped needles... so my gas gauge stopped working correctly... tried to fill up the tank and place the needle on the F position... drove for like 200 km's and the damn needle didn't went down.... swapped gas gauge module from my old cluster, filled up the tank and nooo worky... still got no movement on the gauge... if i place it any where else it goes up, but don't go down... changed the floating device in the tank and still no good... lost here, please help!!!

Sounds like you may have a connection problem or something awry to that respect! I don't know how the system works actually, but if I find time tomorrow I'll FSM it! I do know that the floaties tend to get stuck, but since you said you've changed it, then hmmm

i also tought bout a conection problem... but theres continuity in every wire and line on the cluster and sender unit from the tank... i belive now my problem's mechanical... probably messing with the needles fcuked them up... gotta put some magic powders in there or somethin, i've ran outta gas twice!!!

swap the cluster again and dont mess with the needles this time?

mmm yup... that's probably the way it's going to be... or i'll buy a tsuru one they're round 300 pesos in so so conditions... just swap the gauge without messing with it much cos it only sais 220km/h as gsr's speedo says 240 km/h
