anybody ever had a couple of headbolts strip out

how did you go about drilling them out or whatever you did to remove them

get a cheapy fixed key that doesnt quite fit over the head of the head bolt. Then you proceed to take a hammer and whale on it until it subsides and takes the headbolt inside. then you remove the headbolt with a breaker bar or ratchet.
remember to remove headbolts in the order stated in the fsm.

Take a 17mm 12 point socket and bang it on really tight then remove. Works like a charm but you need a socket for every bolt unless you can get it out somehow. Good luck man

It's not very hard to drill out bolts yourself man. Just make 100% sure you're going straight down so you don't eff up the head threads!!!

lol yeah I made the mistake of using my craftsman but I took it down with the bolt still in it and they still replaced it. And I would never drill headbolts out. Theres too much risk involved plus those bolts are hard steel. Going to use up a lot of bits.
