+1 on that, for many reasons already mentioned. I love the S-chassis, too, but a trade wasn't really even. While I own and respect the KA motor for it's strengths, owning both SR and KA, I'd have a hard time keeping the S14's KA and spending $$$ for turbo when the SR has so much more support and potential. I can see putting a fair amount into a KA24DE as NA (I have), up to the usual bolt-ons and Calum ECU (have that, too). Mine revs strongly to 6k or so but won't make power much above that. Before mods it fell off sharply at 4.5k, 6k took forever. Given my goals today for the motor, it's a lot better than stock, but FI isn't in the cars (esp with 10:1 CR and somewhat weak pistons stock).
Compare that to an SR high CR motor NA with 7800 rpm ceiling and 8000 rpm JWT-tuned cutoff, well, revs are addicting.
I'm gonna have to get another SR and do up an nice FI build, but for now I'll stick with dropping the C2 cams into my motor, it's an autocross and track car and for me, a great DD
OT, sorry - good decision, I really like your P10. The one next to me in these pics sports a turbo, FMIC, and still looks like a sleeper - you'd never know it's got power beyond what it came with stock:
