Thread: heater controls only work on #4

well i pulled the one that GSRM posted out of theharness and put a new one from THE ZONE in and it works all perfect now but the autozne one looked completlye differnt than the OEM one....but,

my heater works now!!!!

At the shopped I worked at, it was common practice to replace the resistors and the switch. Most of the time when the resistors get old, the current draw gets really high, which in turn damages the switch.

I don't know if it's possible, but I would at least take apart the switch and check the condition/clean it. Monies permitting, just replace it.

by the switch you mean the actuall knob/controller thats labled 0-1-2-3-4 right?

cuz mine is broken as well, the knob came off and the selector arm and can be pushed into the housing but still can activate the fan speeds...
