Troubled Tranny
I am not sure what is going on but i dont want to do any more damage to it.

The setup:
Stock B14 SER tranny /w 148K
Mobil1 LS 75W-90 gear oil, Checked level and all is good
Exedy Stage1 clutch and PP ~10K
JWT Flywheel
Brand new OEM Nissan 2.0 clutch cable
Reducer installed
New TOB with clutch install
Prothane MM
ES Shifter bushings
B&M shifter
Sway bar bushing trick

The clutch, flywheel, cable, TOB, seals, MM's, and axles were all replaced at the same time.

I am having issues getting it into gear at various RPM's. It seams like no matter where i set the engagement point it is a little fussy. Some times it will not go into gear at idle right away but if i let the clutch out a couple times it will go in. It also seems to matter if i try it at different peddle positions. But If i set the engagement a little closer to the floor i can not always push the peddle all the way in and get it to go into gear.

I have been trying to move the adjustment around and get it to work better but no matter what i do it seems to have the same issue. So now i am thinking it is something to do with the TOB, PP, cable, or the tranny itself.

If anyone has any ideas on what i can try i am open to them. I am thinking of pulling the tranny out and taking a look at everything and even popping it open and have someone who knows look at it. But before i do that i was going to ask.

Another thing that i am thinking is that this is all in a 95 Sentra GXE that was an auto GA. But i use all the SER mounts and the pedal is in the same location as stock.

is that gear oil correct? i don't think that mobil makes a gl-4 gear oil. if so that oil is eating away at those synchros. get that stuff outta there and get a gl-4 lube 75w-85/90.

^ I was thinking that too. Weight seemed to be off as well.

I was guessing the oil that i used, i did not have a bottle left. But i looked it up on their site and found what i used. I changed the origonal post. Mobil1 LS 75W-90 gear lube

So it could be the syncros? How in depth is that to replace? or am i better off getting a new tranny?

I thought mobil 1 was the wrong GL rating. The downside to using it is that it eats the brass syncro's.

I would drain it thoroughly and perhaps try and run some shockproof light through it. See if it helps. Not an expensive thing to try before you throw a new tranny at it.

For what you can get a used SR tranny for I would not personally replace the syncro's...

RedLine MTL "shock proof" is some good gear oil, look into it!

I will order some new oil and see if that helps. Thanks for the input.
