How to Remove Speed Sensor? Seems Stuck.
Hey,

This for a B14. Anyone have any tricks for getting the speed sensor out? I got the bolt off. I can twist the sensor about a quarter turn. The sensor will not come out. Do I just need to pull on it real hard? I'm afraid I'm going to break off the plastic brace. I'm kinda surprised it's so hard to get out.

What did you all do to get it out? How difficult was it to remove?

Thanks!

man it's easy! the only thing that can be stuck is that o-ring.

when mine was stuck i just wrapped a rag around it and took some pliers and twisted it off while pulling up.

if its been in there a long time yes it will be hard to take out. it takes persistence

OK, I did get it off. I took some PB Blaster to it and twisted it back and forth a lot. I then started pulling on it and took it off. The PB Blaster helped a lot.

Putting the new one back on was harder lol. I finally got the new one back on, but it's a little off from the screw hole. I pulled off the top plastic piece when trying to align it. I will try and work on it latter. I took it out and drove it around and everything works. I no longer have a CEL light, but that normally used to happen when I would reset my ECU. I'll have to wait a month or more to see if it really worked.

It's not screwed down, but it's on there pretty damn tight and flush with the tranny. I think it's alright for now. I'll try messing with it again tomorrow.
