I thought about using the stock cat (new) but my exaust guy said it would'nt work very well and he has a high blow that will perform alot better.. I looked at the high flow ($100) that he has it looked good... but wanted a few days to decide.. what do you think?

He is full of ****, if you have a new OEM cat it is the best way to go! If stock cat is bunk and you need a new one, that is when you go get a catco or magnaflow one or something like that. He just wants to sell you ****.

If stock is in good shape, USE IT. OTherwise, I say get a Catco universal and have flanges welded on by the local guy, or another local guy that won't try and sell you **** you don't need.

True, which is why I will be running a "3"piping w/ a cat and a Tanabe MEDALION TOURING or Apexi WS2

nope the old one was done.. so I'll just get a catco from him,, he treated me very good so far,, he let me do alot of the work and was very fair on his labor and use of the lift....

All these mods I've added to the Egg I can proudly say I've done it ALL myself !!! instead of paying a mechanic.... however I could'nt have done it without the help of a good friend ,, ,,,,,you guys know him as EGGMAN ...
...THANKS dude!!

and thank you coach(Brent) for the insight on the cat .. how much do you think it will tone it down?

Custom exhaust!

Any aftermarket exhaust is going to net you 3-5whp regardless of it being $600 or $200. Why spend all the extra money? Spend your 400 saved dollars on some cams .

Thanks for the props,Larry. My Garage/tools are always available for ya down here.I wish I could hear that exhaust, though, dangit

I agree, you should put a cat on there. If that isn't quiet enough, then I am afraid you are gonna have to lose the magnaflow
