Thread: VRS Catback? What do you have?

I've NEVER done a circle track show, would love to do sometime. Only SCCA dates I've got this year for the Lola are 3/23-24 and 5/31-6/1 at Road Atlanta, and MAYBE 6/20-22 at Elkhart Lake. Howzat for part time! Else, anytime you're thru this place, holler. Really look forward to seeing you again.

yeah man,, will do. can't wait to show the new look of my Egg now that I got the drop and wheels on,, I'm getting some pic's ready to show but I'm going to wait for the VRS to get installed in a few more days before I show it off..

thats a nice and easy race schedule,, starting tomorrow we will be on full call which means 80+ hr a week ... and I'll get back to you about a race date .... the first Atlanta race is the 3rd weekend of march.....(sunday).. but don't worry I'll hook you up on a time you can go thats for sure......

I think you have one of the cleanest Egg,,, I hope mine will look and run as nice as yours some day....

The exhaust on my G20 took a poop. So i bought an SSAC 2.5" and a VRS 2.5" piping kit. All S/S. I bought a 2.5" straight through Magnaflow o/c stock looking muffler, S/S also.

So far, the total cost is $380 shipped for everything. I will be using the stock cat to quiet things down.

VRS catbacks are really nice. I love mine. My only gripe is the round Magnaflow. I wish it had an oval muffler instead.

The round and the oval are really the same muffler. The only difference is the shape of the can. My p10 vrs came with the oval and it is straight through just like the round.

If you look close enough at this picture you can see its the same straight through design (and obviously just as loud).


Now if your saying the oval is better looking than the round I'll have to agree. It is

I bought a VRS exhaust a long time ago and I am still happy with it. I even had a problem with my first resonator breaking inside and they were kind enough to send me a replacement piece. I love the sound of it.

I got a 2.5 hi flow cat with the exhaust and an 18 inch resonator with the straight thru 6 inch body, 4 inch exhaust hole.

Oval mufflers are more quiet than round b/c the larger cases have more sound dampening capacity/ability.

Great input guys,, I think I'm getting the round tip with my kit...

but if not it sounds like I'm going to be good with either.. worse comes to worse I'll just swap out the muffler and resonator

Just waitng on the VRS and that little thing called a camara,, I can't justify using my phone .. it just won't cut it...

As far as what I've done over Christmas to my Egg.... with ALOT of help from Eggman in BFE, Fl

Hyperco & Gen 2's.... motor and tranny mounts.... F1 stage3 clutch and Flywheel kit .... new drive axles (both) tranny seals and rear main seal..

next is the nice SSAC header / VRS catback.....
