Thread: 2005-2006 Altima SE-R thread

My friend bought one of these for like 1600 bucks. Has needed a good amount of work though. He's still pretty happy with his purchase.

I sold him a B15 six speed so he's going to do the HLSD swap at some point. I dig the car but not as an SE-R. More like the last of the 90s-00s Maxima 6MT concept. This car was probably closer to the 4DSC than any recent Maxima.

I've had a 6 speed one for 6 years Now and love it. I still love how it looks and sounds. The key to loving it is knowing what it is and isn't.

It's a comfortable, somewhat fun, good looking and reliable sedan. In my experience I do mean reliable. Only non-maintenance parts I've had to change have been power steering pump(which I repaired) and the water pump. That's it, not bad for six years and about 70k miles.

I've been looking at G37S sedans lately but will likely keep my Altima for a few more years.

So I guess you'll sell me that '98 when you pick up the Altima?
