In regards to the Alfa, 10k is pushing it on the oil change is it not? If you buy a car like that, no reason to cheap out on the maintenance...

^ So many manufacturers have 10K interval oil changes now with synthetic oil. Some even say 15k or 20k miles (not kidding my 1 BMW they wanted 15k oil change intervals). Heck even our 2012 VWs can supposedly go 10,000 miles between oil changes (yet we never let them go past 4000 because we just don't trust nor do we find it necessary to wait that long)

Yeah, my Kia is the same at 10k, but I still do it every 5k because I live in a pretty harsh environment and I'd rather not take any chances. In any case, if I had a 4C I wouldn't be waiting until the last minute.

I own an early 2000's subaru impreza outback myself and though it's been fairly reliable, it absolutely guzzles oil and is dog slow even for a 2.5 liter. I definitely don't have any sentimental attachment to it the way I do with my NX. The Subaru boxer engines just feel unrefined.

From the Alfa 4C manual...

"Change Engine Oil at 4000 miles (6,500 km) if the vehicle is operated in a dusty and off road environment."

But goes on to say...

"The actual interval for changing the oil and replacing the engine oil filter depends on the vehicle usage conditions and is signalled by the warning light or message (if present) on the instrument panel or every 12 months."

Personally, I wouldn't wait for that confounded light (which the dealer must reset) to come on.
