Ga16 Modifications?
I wonder if you have made some modifications to a ga16 to run faster. Inventions , modifications, alterations ... I really appreciate .

Sure, I did a longggg time ago. My first Sentra was a '93 Sentra XE 5-speed. With a cold air intake and catback exhaust I was able to run a 16.6 @ 80MPH in the 1/4 mile. Nothing great but for 110HP OEM it wasn't too bad. I contemplated swapping in a SR20DE but in the end eventually just got a 91 SE-R and was happy with it. I do know of a guy who ran a 14.3 in the 1/4 mile with a 100 shot of nitrous in his 92 Sentra XE. The GA16DE is a nice, reliable economy engine, but aftermarket support is very small, especially in 2016.

Ok , it's a good time. I want to try my b13 in the 1/4 mile to see that time but this OEM . Just intake and fuel regulator . Thanks for your reply.

I say 16.6-17.0 for stock GA 5-speed.
My LE did 16.6@83mph on stock 13" steelies and dyno proven 94.5whp on a Dynojet.
I now have UR under drive pulley, Fidanza 7 pound flywheel, K&N drop-in filter, HKS catback with test pipe, and NX1600 trans with 4.167 final drive (Sentra is 3.9 final drive). It did 15.9@87mph. My setup is mainly autocross and track day, not drag racing.
I have an early 95 B14 GA16 intake cam that supposedly gives about 5-6 hp, but have not installed it yet.

Last year, we did my friends GA16DE.

-Piggyback E85 conversion injector box
-Global timing advance with distributor (19deg)
-Car already had ss-ebay headers (2inch full exhaust)

Car felt much better after the e85 conversion, but only shitty thing is that the fuel delivery is lacking. Adjustable FPR is a must, since the GA engines can run 14-15AFR during WOT at some parts of the run.

But that fuel economy though...

Just power shift the car, you will win a race or two. When i first started to power shift the car, my buddies thought i put a bottle in it.

Recently in my ga powered b14 i took down a p10, kia soul, chevy sonic, v6 mustang.

My mods are nothing special, but maybe, just maybe I can hit that sweet 100whp one day.
K&N drop in filter
Drilled holes in the bottom of air box
Drilled a few holes in the muffler
Advance ignition at the dizzy until its maxed out.

oh and for your viewing pleasure

Why not remove the bottom of the airbox all together, use a shoe string or zip tie to keep the filter up in there.

The drilling holes in the muffler probably doesn't do much but add noise ?

if its a GA16DE with the VCT hump on the intake side, you can wire up a window switch to turn it on and off. Ideally, you want it on during low to mid rpm then off as it advances the intake cam 10 degrees. Its behavior goes... on until about 5000rpm, off, then back on to make you want to shift. you want to keep it off during higher rpm use.

other than that... qg18de headers fit, sr20ecu works if you swap over maf and injectors, advance the timing as the ga16de really responds to this, cai, the typical stuff. you probably wont find cams, pistons, rods, intake manifolds, etc.

just be aware, its MUCH easier to use the SR20 injectors and maf along with the ECU. The GA16DE values are not well known so you may have issues trying to setup your vq table.

also, nistune offers a daughterboard for ga16 cars now

nx1600 5 speed has a different/shorter FD than the sentra ones too.
