BMW Z3 wheel spacer options (all inclusive).
If I've left anything out, please post below and I will add it to the list. If I've made a mistake, please correct me. If you'd like to see more product break-down detail please let me know.
Keep in mind that while I've tried to provide the most relevant and informative link, it's possible you can't buy from the link and will need to find an approved vendor. It's also possible you may find cheaper prices if you do your own research.
Since this is Z3 specific, only 5×120mm, hub-centric, and wheel-centric (when appropriate) options are listed. If you aren't concerned with these features, there are countless universal solutions to consider outside of the ones listed here.
When choosing a spacer, make sure if it has a 45-degree shoulder for the hub extension that your wheel has a corresponding 45-degree chamfer.
The spacers are organized in categories that describe four different spacer types.
1) One-piece, "flat" spacers thin enough to not require a hub extension. These sandwhich between the wheel and the rotor hat.
2) Two-piece, "flat" spacers similar in thickness to the factory hub extension necessitating a second piece to extend the hub. These sandwhich between the wheel and the rotor hat.
3) One-piece spacers thick enough to require a wheel-centric hub extension. These sandwhich between the wheel and the rotor hat.
4) The bolt-on type of spacer which is large enough to incorporate its own mounting hardware.
For reference, the Z3 bolt pattern is 5×120mm, the wheel center bore is 72.56mm, the wheel bolt is 12mm diameter by 1.5 thread pitch and has a threaded length of 25mm. The factory hub extension extends ~10mm beyond the brake rotor hat.
