1-owner = being sold by the person who bought it new. Pet. Fucking. Peeve. And I see corrosion on the top of the struts and radiator bracket. Pet peeve #2: crazy low miles with no back story or history. Come on.

^ It is feasible someone from England (or Japan or other RHD country) relocated to the USA and brought their car with them (I knew of someone who brought their car with them from England and was the original owner.... when it came time to sell it, he sold it easily and quickly because of the rarity of it and RHD appeal) <-- This was a Primera wagon back around 2000 as an FYI ..and at the time I saw no point of owning a starting to rust RHD Primera station wagon (in hindsight, I should have bought it from him.. oh well)

Its interesting the typical 'negativity' associated with 'flippers' often seems worse than dealers (who essentially do the same thing with a legal Business instead of 'privately').

Granted some 'flippers' actually do repairs, cleanup and/or improvements 1st while others do nothing other than buy it to resell but that is for the potential buyer to determine if they still want the deal or not.

I actually lol at how many times I've seen a car very reasonably priced (or underpriced) FS on CL and then sometimes even later the same day or very next day FS again hundreds or sometimes even thousands more with a different phone number, location or name contact often leaving out some ''x' is bad' info out that was there before in the original ad so I ask those questions if I am still interested (sometimes it was fixed, sometimes it wasn't so from that point I decide if its time to move on or go check it out anyway).

I've actually sold various cars on behalf of friends and family and have been angrily accused of just being a 'flipper' despite having extensive details (often even including full maintenance history) so the simple thing to do is 'move on' if you don't like what you feel you see.

Nothin wrong with flipping really. People flip all kinds of things. I've sort of done it myself. I just have some pet peeves about how some folks go about it (in a nutshell, being lazy or shady). People can do whatever they want as a buyer/seller.

Agreed. Nothing wrong with flipping. Its just that no one likes hearing about the car they just bought for 5k was bought by the seller for 1k and just had a battery replacement. Then they get pissed because they are inventing scenarios in thier heads like "I could have bought that car for 1k and replaced the battery myself, when in all reality they wouldn't have looked at a car that wasn't running in the first place if they were looking for a running car.

I just moved out of state and gave several things away because I didn't have time to deal with them and needed them out of my rental property. I expect them to be "flipped" in the near future.

All that being said, there is a difference between "Honest flipping" and "Dishonest flipping". For example, this guy could mean "original USA owner." lol

I Googled the contact phone number and it led me to Vistec R Imports in Stamford, and a dealer is technically not an "owner", ever. Yes, the the CL listing is "By Owner" but my brother (who is a registered car dealer) told me that CL is now charging for "By Dealer" listings so many are now simply listing under "By Owner".
