My initial gut reaction is "hell no!!!" But... there is an ss version and a few guys I work with have malibu maxx's (maxxen?) and seem to love them... granted, they are not car guys but the cars get driven cross country twice a year without incident so.... maybe?

Edit: it does, of course, get my vote over any lame-ass, cute-ute wifey might pick out...

I was just paging through an Autoshopper and spotted a Malibu Maxx SS. And I'd only do the SS, if.

It is from a sketchy period in GM history... so maybe consult consumer reports to see how bad it is haha.

They are getting raked over the coals right now for their cylinder locking issue. Key falls from "run" to "acc" and people are dying. They redesigned the detent in the cylinder without notifying anyone or changing the part number.

They are also basically immune from prosecution on the matter, as anything that happened before the 2008 bankruptcy and bail-out is considered a different company.

GM: not even once.

LOL GM already has open suits against them BenFen.

Over 6,000,000 vehicles within the past decade with active recalls all within the past few weeks (from February). The Saturn Sky we have is part of the recall, too. Thanks, GM!

P.S. It helped that GM has so many huge issues not one person has mentioned Nissan recalling over a million cars for air bag problems, or the Q50s that were recalled for the BS electric steering problem.
