Although really, an incorrect length header or incorrect cylinder pairing is sort of the same thing when it comes to the sound. It is tough to fully overcome the sound of uneven cylinder firing, which tends to give a lub-lub-pause-lub-lub-pause sound.

You know one cross plane engine I DO love the sounds of?? The Ferrari V8s

And the Yamaha R1. Sounds like a V-twin but a littlre less chain saw and a little more "refine"

Yes, the Subaru AWD is incredible. I just dont understand how my g/f's 2010 Impreza is rated at 172HP and would, and this is NOT an exaggeration, run a 20 second 1/4 mile time. It's the 4 door sedan and not THAT heavy.

172 HP - Subaru AWD = 17.2 HP

The question was answered in post #3, yet the thread keeps going.

True fact:

The old 2.2 is rated for 135HP, but makes 80 on the dyno. Loved that car though.

2010 Impreza 2.5i Premium
25% Drivetrain loss (On manual) = 127 WHP, Manual's curb weight is 3,053lbs. 0-60 is 7.9 sec.

Not sure what your complaining about, the car has about the same WHP as a G20, weight is heavier then G20, yet G20 0-60 is 8.6 sec. This is all manual's, G20 automatic is like 11-12 seconds 0-60.

I saw it, indeed. In fact, @Nitelife recorded such an event!
