I love the AWD. Finally came in handy after we got some rain.

I still love my '13. It does a great job as a safe & relaxing transportation appliance.

New, under full factory warranty I might be tempted into a Subie, but wouldn't even think of a used example. I like the XJ Cherokee suggestion. The 4.0 is a workhorse and easy to work on, they can be had with a 5 speed manual, four (or two) doors, roof rack, lots of room in the back and 2nd hand parts-o-plenty.

Everyone knows E39 M5's rule the road...come on....

For snow it's hard to beat a 03 Grand Cherokee Overland. I don't think I could get that thing stuck even with bald tires on it. It's a beast.

My Hakkapeliitta R2s just picked on some Jeeps and Subies today.

I'm just saying...

No 4.0 HO tho..

YEAH

It actually was the XJ because I, too, wanted the 4.0L HO but this one was a dead duck.

@Kyle

Curious.. was it a 1999-2001 XJ? Miles?

@Vadim

190hp 225 tq, 3300 lbs, 225 tq @ 3000 RPM, likes to be between 1500 and 2500 RPM. Has a "shift-up" arrow that lights up at 2000 RPM almost no matter what. Seats are comfy and padded enough for me. More comfy than a NX seat for sure. Cant comment on stock ride bc mines lifted. Please buy an XJ so I can follow your thread on it!

That's pretty much the powercurve of the Subi's 2.5L with tiny turbo, instatorque.

I have 5 cars in my driveway, will be a long while before I buy another... Build threads are fun though...

You're off by 30whp. I dyno'ed at 210WHP. What does it run? Uh look at my sig. 13.4 @ 106MPH on street tires with just the spare and jack removed. Before internal work was done and underdrive pulleys.

BTW the WRX STi in question that I raced was 100% STOCK. I mentioned that like, 4 times. I was dead even with him. Nobody pulled bumper to bumper. We pulled into a parking lot and chatted after, looked at each other's engines, he said he just got it and was planning on doing all kinds of mods. And remember over the summer I had removed about 450lbs from my VE (it's all back in now for the winter) but with just a driver's seat dash and stereo, holy shit, did it make difference.

btw you should look at people's sigs before insulting them, they may contain info pertinent to your post
