Good thing you avoided Altima 2door, I was uber not impressed when we test drove them. Backseat room is useless and felt slow. It should have been a Sentra because it was as small as the sentra.
The Legacy weighs 3300lbs, its definitely feels heavy, but it feels very planted thus the extra weight is actually welcoming. The stock springs are a little soft, if I take a long turn I can feel it rolling, but on quick 90* turns you don't feel it because the back end kicks out before front starts rolling.
My Forester XT used to get around 14-15 mpg city, but with simple side gapped plugs MPG jumped to 18-19 city. Highway still sucks because it's a box, but city wise it's great now, plenty of room for camping and groceries.
