Did you forget about the diesel LD28 powered Maxima/810 from 1981~1983 ish? Ok, bad example but it does get stellar mpg.

Nissan had made really good diesel powered medium duty trucks for a long long time. Thou they sold that end of their business to Volvo.

Cummins is a well know name. It is just a matter of Nissan offering a 1-ton truck to put it in.

News to me. The Cummins powerplant would make this truck a bit more suitable for me. They still need to get rid of the uber shitty Jatco transmission though. Until they put a real transmission and rear diff, no care.
