Why don't you post your budget and see what other people drive for dailies in that budget bracket.

I wouldn't mind a nice lower milage es300. Lexus is good stuff.

edit-if you're going to do the VE+b15 swap, why spend 800 on a transmission if you never plan on boosting it, a b14 box will do you fine.

Get the best of both worlds and look into 2004-2008 Acura TSX. 4 doors for practicality and K24+6 speed.

I have 2008 and it's the best car I've owned.

I'd go with a '01 or older Maxima. Reliable, plenty for sale to choose from and many were driven by older adults so less likely to have been abused. As a matter of fact this is what I'm considering at this very moment.

This made me chuckle. My daily is a B13 and I'm 43! Not to mention it's a 2-door and I shuttle the kids in it.

Update!

I never bought a car. I decided to be an extra hipster (blipster actually) and bike for the entire summer. I was 95%+ reliant on my single speed, and public transit from May until we get heavy/consistent snow.

That being said, I am now looking for a DD that is sr20 powered. Although older chasis in general, they are cheaper (maintenance, replacement motor cost, and to insure).

I am currently leaning towards a b14. I love p10s but finding one with low miles or thay doesnt need a ton of work/maintenance has been hard for me.

I will update one I finally pull the trigger.
