So, my fiance's '03 Camry won't start. It cranks, but won't kick over. I didn't hear the fuel pump priming with the key in the "ON" position, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to change out the pump and see what happens. I replaced the pump but now realize that the pump doesn't start priming until the car is cranked over. I can clearly hear the pump working now. Probably should've checked for fuel pressure first, but oh well :nonchalance:
I also noticed that the C/OPN relay (essentially Toyota's fuel pump relay) wasn't working, after switching it out with the horn relay. Replaced that, still nothing. Tomorrow I'm going to buy a scan tool and see if any of the sensors are throwing codes and I'll also check to see if the spark plugs are firing. I feel like I'm on a wild goose chase with this thing but I need to get it back on the road so I can get her out of the house!
Is there anything else I might be missing?
