What clutch did you end up buying? The ACT is a good clutch. I never used mine when it was turbo but I had the street strip one for years of autocrossing. This was like 10 years ago or so now... The increased pedal effort MIGHT stretch the clutch cable out over time so be prepared to replace or adjust it but they MAY have changed the design by now.

For turbo power you will likely need the JWT dual sprung PP and metal 1 sided disc. That clutch held everything I ever threw at it!

thats what i am thinking now. i wish there was an option for a clutch with more surface area, the ga's friction surface contact area is so tiny. i bought a clutch masters stage 2 kevlar full face clutch.

The key is not letting it slip. This is precisely why JWT went to a dual sprung PP design to increase clamping force. With this setup I was able to use an organic one side/metal other side disc without issue. in 5 years of tracking the car with 250+ whp I replaced the disc once after it wore.

I have a JWT dual sprung PP lying around I think. No disc but the PP is the key really. Send me a PM if you have any interest.
