Here we go!!
2008 Civic SI sedan

VS

2009 Corolla XRS

VS

2010 Sentra SE-R

Please leave all the Nissan fanboy crap aside. I need a good 4 door economy car to replace the G20.

GO!

2008 Civic SI, best performance, more aftermarket options, even if you leave it stock you will be happy having it as a DD

I bet the Corolla XRS will be better on gas and will be more fun to drive. You won't have to wind it out like you will the Civic. As far as the Sentra goes. I've only spoke to a few owners of the SpecV and they all have good things to say about it if you can get past its looks.

As much as i hate to say it ..I think the civic si would be a much funner car. the sedan is lighter then the coupe and takes to mod's much better then the Toyota or Nissan. My old rsx with a catless header, 2.5 exhaust, intake, and some other insignificant mods went consistent high 13's. In my opinion the only thing that sucks about the si is that dumb drive by wire thing they did.

I don't see how it would be more fun to drive. The E140 chassis sucks. I doubt installing the lazy low-revving Camry engine changed that.

The gentleman did say he wanted an economy car. So taking that into consideration and getting the most bang for the buck..the XRS comes out on top in my opinion especially since its supposed to be his Daily NOT a modded whore. If his intentions are are to mod and go a little crazy, then perhaps the Civic is the better choice.
