Thread: Nissan about to drop the ball again

Well,I am a dreamer,what can I say
I could live with 25-2600lb,but if I am gonna build an imaginary car in my head,I will stick to the 2200


Definately a 2 door...with a 4 door as an option.I thought that was a given.

sadly, while we all want a sporty nissan, its just not in the cards, nor do i expect it ever will be, ESPECIALLY in the U.S. Id blame the weight of cars on all the safety regs, and low performance on the emissions requirements. YES other car manufacturers have "sporty" and "performance" cars, but thats what typically they havebeen building over the past 10 years. I do think the b13 ser was the last attempt at nissans lightweight sports car herritage, and i doubt youll ever see them try to go back to it. They make FORTUNE on turds like the versa, and big cars like the altima and maxima. sadly it always comes down to what the masses want, and the small car performance market is a niche if anything, MOST folks want a to b drivers, sadly, and care about nothing else.

that and the thought of a 2 door car with a 4 door option is pretty funny these days....maybe a shared platform to do that, as the juke shares the versa platform, but....pointblank, all you fucks with kids has made the 2 door car market undesireable from a marketing standpoint. lets see, a CHEAP, performance oriented 2 door car, with the research and development needed to create a lightweight chassis, high performance engine, and stickj it in a 2 door car....yeah, well, mitsubishi stopped selling eclipses for a reason. Just saying. best beet is to go buy a lotus elise, and garage your classic......thats about the only option that seems viable for this debate these days. so,yes, nissan IS dropping the ball once again. And making money as a result as i see it, sadly.
