Thread: 98 prelude (not SH)

So I did a clutch change for a friend but now that I have everything together the car won't do squat!

With the car on, I can put the transmission into any gear without using the clutch.
The speed sensor reads speed and shows it on the dash gauges according to the RPM and the gear the transmission is.

Other than that the car won't move on its own or anything.
I'm completely lost. Can anyone help?

maybe id look into the slave or master cylinder? if not try preludepower.com,5th gen section is very active and should get a response quick,if you friend is into forums,thats the forum he should be on,

axle not all the way into the trans?

He's not into forums, knows nothing about cars.

And everything seems fine, slave and master cylinders SEEM to operate correctly.
If it's nothing simple I'm just going to tell him to take it to a shop, I'm tired of having the car at my house.

hmmm no VTEC maybe?

Honestly if the axles are in all the way I would think that you would end up needing to pull the trans out to find out the cause.
