If you own one of these... DIP THE STOCK WHEELS!!!! DO IT! Trust me!!!

I just bought a set of stockers from an FRS, dipped them, and put them on my forester...

coheed, you still looking for 2012 wrx wheels, i just put on my summer set, debating on selling them. selling them complete though, dont want the hassle of removing the tires, and you would get the sube tpms sensors..6k on the setup

I was, but I'm just going to save my pennies for some good wheels this summer. Thinking of some TC105n or something like that.

Car is awesome. I love everything about it. Yesterday got to hit some corners hard, played a little bit. Car gets sideways very well. It's awesome feeling the rear come around, but you gotta be expecting it. It feels fantastic.

The power delivery above 5k is very good, it pulls really well. But it does feel like it needs more revs, because the limiter is abrupt and cuts the fun early. This car needs 8000rpm. Perhaps even 8500rpm to be great.

Guys are going that right now without any troubles, but I think 9k is pushing it. The engine loses power around 7000rpm, but it doesn't fall on its face. It feels like the 02-03 spec V in that regard. The short gearing and power delivery are a joy.

The only hiccup with the engine, is the fact it seems to do just that. There is a dip in torque around 3000rpm that lasts until 4000rpm. This torque dip almost feels like the throttle is being cut back. It's only noticeable in a low speed corner, perhaps when you want to get the car loose in 1st gear. You feel this interruption of power right as the tires start to break away, and it kills some of the fun.

Tuning with E85 seems to cure the dip, but even just a regular tune does a good job filling the gap. However, the real fix for this dip in power production is a turbo...

turbo makes everything better! what size injectors do you need on this motor for the e85 tune? what size are the oem ones?

I've seen 2 FR-S downtown Portland with this style wheel. Both Black, but one was dumped and the other was not.

That's pretty cool idea. Makes the stockers look sooo much better. Nice grab btw I'll have to remember that when I'm buying wheels next year.
