Thread: Engine #3 this year..

So in january, a week before my bday I spun a rod on my 200sx (revving too high one my new g20 ecu) then I bought a 86 crx si a week later.. It was burning a little bit of oil and it ended up running low and blew a hole in the side of the block when I was cruising home (I beat the shit out of the car but when it happened I was actually just cruising on the freeway, 5 miles away from home and was going to do a oil change the next morning lol)
I went without a car for about a month because I was using my GF's car to get to work and back but then I broke it off and bought a 92 civic lx... It was burning oil like a mother..... I burned probably about 9 quarts since I bought it april 21st. Everytime I would accelerate I would see a cloud of white smoke behind me and at higher rpm's it would start to stutter, cutting in and out.. Well today I was getting off the freeway and noticed it was running on 3 cylinders so I get to my bros and see its 3rd cylinder... Take the spark plug out and there is carbon build up on the spark plug (replaced it like 2-3 weeks/1000 miles ago) and I look down on the cylinder and see this

that just sounds like bad luck. and dont buy a car thats burning oil. should of learned from the crx that was burning oil.

Heh I know right... Buying a engine on friday for the civic and putting it in saturday... Running on practically 3 cylinders right now, leaving early to work just incase lol I at least heard / saw it running and got a compression test on the engine im buying (195 psi across the board) so should be good.
I'm going to be FINALLY fixing my 200sx this summer going to be over 1k but worth it for sure...

I too have made mistakes like that also.
paid 5k for a b13 sentra with busted struts and rusted in half 3inch exhaust with a sr20ve-t the turbo is what got me man lol.
im going to take a look at your brake upgrade, my b13 needs that!
