Not sure why you went the way you did either but as long as the car is fixed, that is all that matters. As long as you are happy, that is all that matters. I would keep the se-r rims if it were me but I do understand that you could recoup half of your money back. Tires make one of the biggest differences in ride quality of the vehicle. Those snow tires were probably hurting your gas mileage as well. I have no idea how you drove with studded snows that long and kept your sanity. I would have junked those a long long time ago. They are so loud and obnoxious that I would never run studded snows where I live. Maybe in Alaska but regular snows are just fine for the snow we get here.
