Thread: Versa owners chime in

I am looking for a 1st generation Versa. What are the high and lows? What to look out for?

I had a versa for a rental for about a week. Not very impressed. Definitely feel cheap inside, arnt very comfortable and worst part is the gas mileage I was getting was nowhere near what they advertise them for whatever reason. The car only had 5400 miles on it when I rented it. I was getting at best about 24mpg with it and I know it wasnt my driving because i even took it on some longer highway trips instead of stop and go all the time and even then it wasnt good. I was dissapointed. I had a toyota corolla S as a rental one time and it got 42 mpg mostly highway and 38 mixed. The Versa wasnt even close to this.

Any particular reason for chosing a Versa?

If your looking for a cheap gas saver id look for a used corolla. They are great, more comfortable than the versa. Not quite as cheap looking inside and so on.

They are roomy for a small car, thats why.
