Lookin for a truck, give me your ideas
Hello everyone,

I wonder what your thoughts are on a truck selection for me. I have a list of what I need in a truck below and a price range. I wonder what your opinions are.

4x4 prefered
no base models, if anything leather preferred
gas preferred, I dont need a diesel but depending on price I might
has to have factory towing package
6.5' bed preferred, long bed not necessary
$8-12k price range.
Nothing more than 110k miles

Im thinking foreign, I love gm trucks because they are easy to fix and the engines are very reliable. but im thinking foreign because of all the good things I hear about running them over 200k without any issues.

I have a 97 ford expedition 5.4 4x4 with 95k miles on it for sale currently. The only reason im selling it is because I am single with no kids and I dont really need the interior space as much as I need a bed on a truck. Ive got a lot of good feedback from toyota tundra owners(that are not car guys) both 06 limited 4x4 crew cabs and they both have over 150k without any problems(NOT 1). So im leaning towards that type of truck or a Titan 4x4 but I dont know enough about them. Ive driven 2 of them in 06 that had no more than 10k miles and I thought they were very nice.

But any insight would be greatly appreciated. I do want a full size truck, not a tacoma,frontier,s10 or an SUV(unless its an excursion 7.3 diesel lol)etc... Thanks to all your opinions

I loved that truck. It was great to me, then it started to hate my wallet and in turn my religious self(u know what i mean) decided to part ways... I was into that truck for the same amount I should of been in a gas truck for.

I am researching titan's now and Im finding some decent information on them. I dont really drive as much as I used too so I dont mind owning a gas truck.

Don't do a Titan. Don't do a Nissan Truck newer than a fucking hardbody. PERIOD.

Ill get into trouble for this one, but 2000-2003 tundras are nice. Aluminum v-8, good towing. I am biased since im a huge toyota fan, but they really are good trucks. The frames had problems with rust, but toyota will replace them and all the stuff that connects to them free of charge.

I will tell you what to do. Take your money and turn it into a down payment. Buy yourself that ecoboost V6 F-150 and get AMAZING gas mileage, and the power of a decent V8.

The guy u bought the suby from just picked up a crew cab f150 ecoboost and loves it. I'm just not spending over $20k on a vehicle let alone $45k. I don't want payments as I always try to pay cash on everything.

I'm leaning towards the tundra, I might just buy my friends off of him as he is the original owner.
