Need help with '05 Hemi Durango
I replaced the EGR in it this past summer when it went bad and ever since we get this very random hard starting issue where we have to give it some gas while turning it over. It has about 82k miles as it sits and haven't really had a chance to check the spark plugs or anything else yet. Anyone have any ideas on what the issue could be?

Thanks!

When it happens, does the engine want to start but having a hard time(like no firing on all cylinders)? Or is it just cranking and cranking and then fires up?

It wants to start but is having a hard time. It seems like it will sort of start and then just die but if I give it some gas while turning it over then if fires right up and runs and drives just fine. This is very sporadic and have not detected any pattern for when it might happen.

First i would check plugs as these have 16 total . They are usualy due every 40k . Then i wouod check fuel pressure at start up could be clogged filter if it has a external filter .
These are my two starting points

Does the issue happen when you start up your car after you fill up with gas the full mark, or every time? Its possible that the EVAP purge valve is bad and is letting raw fuel into the engine on start up, like its sucking fuel into the intake manifold and is puddling.
