Thread: Honda/Acura owners chime in

I can't stand them. But i'd love to own a JDM ITR, been in love with those cars since the first Gran Turismo. And I wouldn't mind an EF hatch.

Cant stand CRX's either. If I was gonna build a honda it would be a dc2 integra. No questions about it. Its one of the only popular hondas that I actually like. EG EK hatches are all over rated and just too overly popular. And yes the constant worry about whether it will still be there in the morning or when you come out of the store, no thanks.

Ive had some hondas but one that i miss alot is my old 92 gsr everyone loved it. then they tried to steal it and i didnt want that so traded it.

sometimes i wish i still had that car because it drove perfect it wasnt a b16 or b18 or a b20 it was a b17 not common at all and it ran great. thats the only honda that i think is worth talking about.

I also had an old 87 CRX Si the old school style one for an 87 it moved out.. Swapped in a 1G Integra motor DOHC 1.6 basically the same as the JDM DOHC ZC moved out pretty good revved 7500 like it had 5k miles on it. Never gave me any problems and I sold it.

I'm looking to purchase a 05-07 Acura TL in the next few weeks...

with that swap your still running like high 15's lol pretty slow and pointless swap :P If I was to swap anything into my crx it would be a b16 or b18

Full coverage will not cover an engine swap unless its documented and submitted to them. If they think your only driving a CRX its gonna be only worth face value to them.



This was in like the year 2000 and I bought the first gen CRX for $200 with a blown motor this was cheap bolt in... I know it wasnt terribly fast but the swap cost me like $500,
If you see my sig I also had a 90si with a GSR full bolt ons that ran 12's n/a almost 10 years ago.

Did a best 1/4 mile of 10.7 @ 127 on 330whp with a stock B17 @ 14psi - 330whp
Did a best 1/8th mile of 6.5 @ 106 with a sleeved B20 @ 14psi - 460whp

Ok, I am done, but I have owned a BUNCH of others. Including one of the first K20 swapped EG hatches that LoveFab built in 2005, a stock GSR, and a 3 turbo D16 EG from way back in the day!

But at this point I don't even own a Honda.. besides my Fiance's stock auto 98 EX coupe!

My next project will either be my B14 ser or I would like to pick up a clean B13 shell and compete with all the guys in my area (rather big Honda scene here).
