I can't believe you're saying the MR2-S doesn't compare because it has an engine in the middle...

Although I looked up the base price of them new (first year available), and adjusted for inflation. It would be upwards of $30k in today's money. (And IMO compared to the Toyobaru, worth it.) So it is obviously out of the running.

We just want a Lotus Exige GT3 for $19,999 new. That's all.

And I know why we can't get it, but that doesn't mean it can't actually be done.

B13 Sentra SE-R was $13000 - $15000($20,000- $24,000 in todays money) from 1991 to 1994. 119 FRONT wheel horsepower 2300lbs. There was no aftermarket and it wasn't a drag car. Why did Car and Driver put it in their top 10 best cars list?

Maybe because it was fun?

I think that when the new Genesis comes out itll be under 30k and ave almost 300 HP with the new di2.0 with a very quick spooling turbo. Itll be my choice over this mashup car with an identity crisis that anyone over 5ft7 or over 250lbs cant fit into. I do think it looks like sex though. If only it were a bit larger.

If you can fit into an NX, you can fit into a Toyobaru. IJS.

Or are you going to narrow it down to hard-tops only? Then you can be in the Toyobaru and no other car matters...
Hell, throw the weight out the window and you STILL can't compare. I wouldn't mind taking a Miata. I just don't like them. So there, we have asthetically subjective comments now. But you're right, no other car matters to me. I want a BRZ or FT86. I like them, and no one will change my mind We can bash gigantic SUV owners all day long, but that wouldn't make them change their minds.

To me, it doesn't compare. It's just my logic, however flawed it MUST be in your world. You have two entirely different car types, comparing an MR-S to a BRZ, Genesis, etc. The handling/driving characteristics are WAY different. And before you ask, yes I've driven both a GenII MR-2 and a GenIII MR-S. I obviously haven't driven a BRZ yet.

Then again, it doesn't really matter what the above drive like, because you can't buy one new anymore.

Call me retarded but I still don't get the MR cars are completely different than RWD. I drive them exactly the same. FWD and AWD are different beasts.

I can hop between RWD and MR car at a race with no issues... When I hop between others it gets more interesting.

I'm not a racecar driver

It just feels different to me driving a MR vs. an FR. Maybe it's the weight or something. Going from an AP1 and then driving an MR-S specifically felt WORLDS different to me.

For typical canyon carving (power aside) the Boxster, MR2-S, RX-8, Miata, Z3 and S2k all feel about the same as far as dynamics go. That's without getting insanely picky. FR, MR... Same same in my book.

I dont fit into a miata and ive heard they are similar in size. only reason I quoted you is because hes seen me in a miata and it isnt pretty. Eggs are small but are smaller then a b13 I believe. Either way I have to fit it for me to like it lol.
