You only got the first two words correct.

The rest of that you made up, because I certainly stated nothing of the sort.

And...you still don't get it.

Yes. With the Stig. On a road course. With actual turns.

And we'll see how quickly it scoots around that curvy track. Compared to other much more pricey cars, maybe even sports cars. Certainly cars with a much better power to weight ratio.

what stratton is saying is WHY are you going to spend 27k for this when you have better options. this is evo, sti, boxer, 370z, 1 series bmw money for a car that will run 15s.

grab a used ap1 for 14k. you still have 13k to play with and make the ap1 as fast as you would ever imagine whether its in a straight line or around corners. it would still be comfy on the inside, and modded however you wanted.

the car sounds like a cool car honestly. but for 27k there is better things to be bought dollar per dollar that can be daily driven and not give you headaches. personally id go the ap1 route, and learn how to drive the car at the limit, and start modding it. there is plenty extra money left over for that...

Performance for dollar wise, a new car is always the worst decision. A ve'd or det b13 on a proper suspension ~ $5K could kill any new car under $20k maybe even $25k. That's not the point. The fact that this car opens the door to new possibilities is awesome. The last time something like this happened was the 510 and 240Z. A respectable handler for half the price new and an unreal aftermarket to be triggered. And the focus on the driving experience. Not just stoplight racing. When was the last time the focus was on driving experience for cheap? The Miata?

And as far as a b13 beating this around a curvey roadcourse. Lets be real guys. Only a fraction of b13s could stick with this and I promise you that they'd need more hp than the BRZ just to keep up.

I don't know about you guys but the reason I have my SE-R is not for speed. It's because it's fun. It has character. Yes for the time it had straight line speed. No NA 4cyl could touch it. But this is where we wait for the turbo version Just enjoy the handling for now.

The truth is, people can't afford a $14k used car, let alone a $14k used car plus another $13k on top of it to use for modifications. I bet something like 75-90% of Americans can't afford to drop $14k on anything, let alone a car that really is just a play thing.

They can however "afford" to sign some documents and make monthly payments of $350 or whatever the fuck...

No one has tons of cash laying around. Americans don't do savings. Americans don't do delayed gratification. But they do have an income...

Lets not turn this into another retarded debate folks. Everyone has an opinion which is fine. No need to call eachother out over their opinions.

It's not for everyone. I think we can all agree with that. This car in current form will be nowhere near track worthy, if your track of choice is the 1/4mi. This is common knowledge.

For those comparing it to another vehicle, please at least compare it to the same class. 2dr, rwd, 4cyl for starters. That limits the comparisons down to AP1/AP2, Miata, Genesis, etc. etc.

I'd compare it to the 2dr, rwd, 4cyl MR2-S. And it would lose for desirability in my house.

I guess I should have said "FR, 2DR, RWD, 4CYL". MR-S does not compare, as it's mid engine rear drive. Two different beasts.
