That they are Shawn. Its all over the internet both on car forums and facebook. I think these cars will sell like hotcakes. I would definitely rock the suby and swap the front for the toyota. There will be plenty of aftermarket for these within months after release guranteed.

I really like this car. I kind of wish toyota built the engine and dropped a vvtli motor in it that revved real high (something along the lines of the Celica GT-S or corolla XR-S motor). I feel like Miko has a point with power being difficult/expensive to obtain from the boxer N/A.

But then it wouldn't have the low center of gravity of the boxer engine. Plus I haven't driven it to evaluate it either so what do I know? Just a thought

I vote for F/I of some sort just like Miko said. It's going to be gnarly when the F/I kits for this come out

Quoting 1/4 times, whp, hp etc.... The point is missed, sorry Dre.

Not to say all of your suggestions are not good, valid, truthful, but the formulation of your opinion is different than mine and others who like this car for none of those reasons.

To each their own...

Subaru confirms turbocharged BRZ engine, doesn’t confirm turbocharged BRZ

According to Motor Trend editor-in-chief Ed Loh, Subaru has confirmed it will build a turbocharged version of its Toyota-direct-injection FA20 engine (the one in the Subaru BRZ). That's great news, right? Well, yes. Kind of.

Of course, Subaru has not yet confirmed it will build a corresponding turbocharged BRZ. But since the company has said the BRZ is the only car in its lineup slated to get the FA20 — for the time being — one can only assume that a turbocharged version will power that particular car, no? That's just straight logic. At least, you know, for the time being.

Or maybe the turbocharged FA20 will appear in another car first. Perhaps one with a WRX badge on it? naturally, that would be fine too.

AFAIK, it has always been an 86 x 86 engine for both models.

People wanted a rev happy motor. Plain and simple. Anything bigger than a 2 Liter is not to rev friendly at least from the factories standpoint.

Nobody likes a 6200 or 6500 redline.
