53:47 RWD is not great? Better than a 60:40 FWD car.

A 60/40 FWD car has 13% more weight over the drive wheels than a 53/47 RWD car.

Better?

If you say so.

Those drive wheels mean nothing for my point, Ben Fen.

Now you want to split off into two categories, traction and/or handling.

Sure you can argue the FWD has a better "percentage of traction" (which is a joke since all drivers drive differently) but no way will it out handle the RWD car. Stock for stock, and apples for apples, no way in hell.

Because the S2k is fully mid-engine and 50/50. Not against 2JZs in them, just saying if you're worried about messing up the purity of a chassis, the S2k would be much more blasphemous.

I completely agree. I am just stating what I feel is going to happen. Not saying I'm going to do this, EVER. 2j was put in an Xb for crying out loud. Just something different to see. Probably also see a V8 platform who knows. Although I don't think it will fit, but I have yet to see the vehicle.

If that's the case, and they're using much more lightweight material, let's pretend they shaved 40~50lbs. That'd make the weight around 221lbs dry weight with all accessories.

That sounds plausible. I wonder if the EJ block would bolt up to those cylinder heads..... Or if the EJ block has the same mounting point locations..........
If this was the case, we would most likely be seeing alot of turbo FR-S' in the future.

There's a lot of huff and puff speculation in the Subaru community that folks (shops mainly) are anxious to get their hands on one and see just how easy it's going to be to drop an EJ into the car. Their assumptions are that the mounting would be identical to that of the WRX/STI to the subframe. If that's the case, I'd give very few months before we see an STi swapped Toyobaru.

X2. A solid, reliable, beastly 2 door daily driver with less than 2900lbs curb weight and 400whp on tap WITH RWD? Shit will scream.
