Yep, two threads conjoined into a big goopy mess. We'll start cleaning duplicate posts soon.

From now on, all information regarding the BRZ or 86 not posted in this thread will be deleted without notification.

Works for me. It was out of control with the five FT-86 threads we had a while back too.

Hmmm its growing more and more on me. Feels a little bit like a NEO NX2k with RWD made by the arch enemy Toyota. Some of those engine specs mesh up well with why we like our Sr20 cars so much. This time with Right wheel drive. The motor sounds beefy going around that track. I like it!! With the base model being this good, wow it really feels like a boosted version is going to be an incredible winner.

I'm really hoping it stays in the 2600-2700 lb range.

This collaboration with Toyota/Subaru turned out so well, they should combine Toyotas knowledge with the MR platform and throw this motor into a small mid engine car.

Well they're using lightweight components compared to the older EJ motors, IIRC the EJ 2.5L from an N/A forester is around 271lbs with accessories (including flywheel, etc.)?

If that's the case, and they're using much more lightweight material, let's pretend they shaved 40~50lbs. That'd make the weight around 221lbs dry weight with all accessories.

I wonder who will be the first to put a 2j in it considering it'll probably be very easy to take the motor out especially at that weight.
