Also here is some good tech info on the BRZ.

Hmmm...sounds exactly like the STi version.

Edit...STi would actually have a ridiculous rear wing. Which I would naturally and immediately remove. I could probably trade it with some youngster that has the non-STi wing (or hatch) plus cash, making a profit on the deal.

Agreed.

However, at least they (Subyota) are picturing two (2) options that look waaaaaaaay better than the altezza-riffic ones. Hell, I wouldn't care which car, or model, the ones you pictured came on originally, I'd be sourcing a set if my car/model didn't come with them.

Edit...Wait a second. Those ass-ends are not copasetic cross-manufacturer.

Well, at least it's a Subbie with the best rear lights. However, I still like those Toyota rear lights 100-times better than the initial ones pictured.

I just realized tons of these are going to get wrecked within the first year. Young kids wanting to dorifto with mommy and daddy picking up the tab.

On a side note. S2ks are getting cheaper these days. A used S2k + hardtop and some goodies would probably fall within the same price range of this car. A mazdaspeed miata would also work, as would a S14 in real good shape with a Sr20det.

Thumbs up on the interior. Can't wait to see what shade of ugly Subaru make the car.

And not it a bad way, mind you. I'm actually a big fan of every generation of ugly that the WRX has suffered.

All of those are either two-seat roadsters and/or cars no longer being produced and only getting older. Not to mention the SR swapped S14 has the potential to be a finicky "frankencar" with all of the typical trade-offs that come with owning one of those.

The ToyoBaru is factory fresh with warranty and all of the reliability that typically comes with owning a new car. It hasn't had its heart replaced with one of questionable origin. If something doesn't work, it gets fixed fo free!

Interesting shot to demonstrate just how low the engine is mounted.
