Its not about having overwhelming or even big power numbers. Thats not the most compelling need of the initial target market.
Its about having enough power and respectable mpg/emissions with a chassis/suspension that shines when pushed hard. Also I feel the mid-range will be exceptional making it very useful power. It willfeel much faster than it actually is for most buyers.
How many people are comfortable driving a motor that you need to habitually rev up to and over 7k? I know revving out vvl makes a lot of my passengers uncomfortable. Especially since I just sit there kind of stone faced rowing through gears...
