The part about keeping the price down in MX-5 Miata territory as opposed to 370Z territory should tell you something about the expected power level of the car. So I wouldn't expect it to look fast right out of the gate.

true, it would be a shame if its a 3500lb car with 200 hp

Yeah, but with a healthy aftermarket and a capable powertrain, that can be corrected - for the most part. But I do REALLY hope they keep the weight down. Power I'm not as much concerned with.

I woud think eventually there will be boosted options available on the showroom floor or they will tune a lot out of it NA. Surely there will be a number of TRD/SPT parts but for the beginning I think they want to move some numbers and sell floor matts and shift knobs and probably pedal sets to add on. It should be really interesting model if it ever hits showroom floors.

for some reason seeing the tail lights in action and the rear exhaust reminds me of the current eclipses...

Holy super massive brakes batman!!!!

Geezus man those things are GIGANTIC! If those are the actual rotors and calipers, that's some serious braking power for that car.

It's a shame. The car in those pictures look like a serious sports car.

I never understood setting expectations high with a concept just to shatter them with mediocrity.

This...

Also, I didnt watch more than 15 secs of the video of it driving, but it looked like it was understeering thru every corner...

I'm fairly excited about this car, but if its not boosted (or the boosted option is redic expensive), I'm probably just going to buy a ~2005 Elise.
