Exactly they can keep that shit box. Nothing but hype with this car.

True, true. It's the only reason my P11 with check engine on light was still "road worthy"

The car sounds great going around the circuit. It looks great too. I'm liking the price and weight numbers. I think for the guys wanting the turbo power you might be missing the point of the car. Its not meant for going fast in a straight line. My thought is if they did make a turbo model it might only be faster in straight sections. Lets just say they kept it at 2.0 with a turbo. You'd have to expect a certain level of power lag because of the boost. They might get tricky and offer something with a tiny turbo or with high compression. Getting tricky just jacks up the price though. Once the price starts going up then you start getting into 370Z territory. Then you throw in the extra weight of the turbo system and all the other upgrades that would go with something like that. I'd think you're looking at an extra 100-200 lbs added to the car.

I do feel there will be a turbo or supercharged model. I say this because the Hyundai 2.0T exists. Also the top Subarus are turbo'd.

I'm looking forward to a possible Mazda and Mitsu response . I don't have faith that Nissan will get its balls back and put out an S16. It would be very easy for Mazda to finally offer a Miata with a solid roof. Mitsu has been destroying its Eclipse since 2000. A lightweight rwd incarnation of the Eclipse would be very suitable as an 86 fighter.

I think I need to start saving for the 3rd model year. By then any early problems should be resolved, and there might be some new competitors to be considered.

Well, after watching this I feel I have found the modern day B13 SE-R replacement I've been looking for. It's only taken 20 years...
Good news is my wife's SUV should be paid off in 3 years.

My buddy just text me, he said the dealership he works at will get their BRZ demo in the next week or two. I'll get a first hand look at it when he gets his turn to take the demo home.

That's funny, I drive by the Subaru HQ every night on my way to drop off my work vehicle and there is ZERO sitting in the lot next to it, just a bunch of Legacy's sitting there.
